Our Experience
At ProMED Tasmania, we deliver professional event medical and first aid services for events of every size and type across the state. Our clinicians come from a range of backgrounds, and our management team has more than 20 years' experience in event medicine. We cover everything from major festivals to local community days.
We handle pre-event planning, cover on the day and post-event reporting for organisers, participants and attendees.

Equipment and medications

Permits and sanctions
Meeting your governing body’s requirements
Most organised sport and motorsport sets a minimum standard of medical cover, and your permit or sanction will usually require you to name your provider and show the level of cover matches.
We regularly provide against the medical requirements of Motorsport Australia, Motorcycling Australia, Speedway Australia, Karting Australia, AusCycling, Equestrian Australia, Pony Club Australia, Triathlon Australia, Rowing Australia and Active Tasmania, among others.

How many medics does my event need?
It depends on your governing body’s rules, your expected attendance, the activity, and how far you are from an ambulance. Tell us about your event, and we’ll recommend a team. See how we meet each governing body’s requirements →
Do you meet Motorsport Australia, AusCycling or Equestrian Australia requirements?
Yes, along with every other body on our governing bodies list. We follow the medical standards set out in each body’s rules and configure crews to the level your permit requires. See the full list →
Can your staff give medications?
Yes. We’re licensed to carry and administer 19 medications, from adrenaline for anaphylaxis through to methoxyflurane for pain relief, administered within each clinician’s scope of practice. See our full clinical capability →
Do you supply the medical centre, or do I?
Either. We can deploy our own branded marquees in 3m × 3m and 6m × 3m sizes, build custom medical centres from four to 20 beds, or work within infrastructure you provide. See our medical centres and fleet →
What happens if a patient needs to go to hospital?
We’ll contact Ambulance Tasmania, continue stabilisation, and provide ongoing clinical care until they arrive. We also work with other providers (GP, urgent care and private EDs) for alternative pathways where the patient is suitable.
How far in advance should I book?
We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for most events, and two weeks or more for large-scale ones. If your event is sooner than that, call us anyway. We’ll always try to accommodate short notice, and we’ll tell you honestly what we can do.
Do you cover remote and regional events?
Yes. We carry remote-area and austere-environment equipment along with radio and satellite communications, and our four-wheel-drive stretcher vehicles are built for off-road access. See our fleet →
What do I get before and after the event?
We work with clients from pre-planning through to post-event reporting. Once your booking is confirmed, we’ll send a booking confirmation you can use to obtain permits and approvals. Before the event, you’ll receive an Event Medical Plan outlining our services, personnel, and service details for the day. Afterwards, you’ll receive a comprehensive Post-Event Report covering statistics, patient presentations and other key information.
